About that Dora, non-Explorer (we knew someone would say the joke so I beat you to it...HA!)

[Mentally prepare yourself for I talking about myself in third-person, because that's usually what's done in "About Me" pages, not because I talk about myself in the third person...I'm more of a first and sixteenth-kind of person:]

Dora Goto is a filmmaker, film writer, media writer about film, and cartoon artist. She is interested in sharing stories that she finds interesting and can share her voice on, including stories about media, film news, and stories that put at its focus diverse and underrepresented groups.

Dora is a self-described cinephile, which is synonym for a very big film enthusiast that likes to over analyze films and likely find meaning in them that wasn't intended.

About Dora Goto Talks, aka this site you're currently on:
I love writing articles and stories, doing research and learning from them, but my intention for making Dora Goto Talks was not just reporting the story as is, but to try to add some commentary - when applicable and, if subjective, not affecting the integrity and objectivity of the story (so maybe there will be few cat lady jokes in a story here and there, but the story will still be reported and presented as it truthfully is).

While the stories I will be sharing are based on research and resources that I've gathered, I'm also interested in making my writing about stories feel more personal - hence the wrapping every story with "Sincerely, Dora Goto" followed by some lame joke that I come up with because I feel they're funny and I'm quirky even though I'm not Zoey Deschanel who I adore. I want to inform anyone who reads my writing about stories that I feel passionate about, enjoy, and that they can potentially love too and make them want to read more.

If you enjoy Dora Goto Talks, in which I talk about anything and everything in between, make sure to subscribe (I'm so going to beat Pewdiepie in subs!)

It's Not All Bad News for "Futurama" Fans, Thanks To Show's So-Developer David X. Cohen

JamCity If you are a big fan of Futurama like myself and were saddened by the news that Netflix was removing episodes from the cult-classic futuristic cartoon, then the show's co-developer David X. Cohen has come to the rescue! Recently it's been seen on Netlflix that various seasons of Futurama have been removed (only seasons 6 and 7 remain, which are divided into 2 parts and listed on Netflix as seasons 7 to 10), and naturally Futurama fans took to social media to express their discontent...most utilizing the show's own memes to do so. Before we go any further, I need to get this out of my system: ...There.  (I didn't mean for all the Futurama memes to be just of Professor Farnsworth, it just happened.)  But it's not all "bad news, everyone!" (Get it?!? Okay, I'll get back to the topic...) During a recent  Reddit AMA , the show's creator Matt Groening and head writer David X. Cohen, along with principal voice actor...

Four Days After "The Addams Family" Hit Theaters, A Sequel Has Already Been Confirmed

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures Hear that? It's the sound of my mind being blown...or that of me snapping along to the Addams Family theme song. Following the commercial success of this year's animated re-imagining of one of our favorite unconventional families,  The Addams Family , which was released on theaters October 11, Deadline  exclusively confirmed on Tuesday that an animated kooky and spooky sequel is already in the works. In just its opening weekend, The Addams Family has earned $30.3 million from its theatrical releases in the United States and Canada (a little bit more than three-quarters of its $40 million budget), surpassing box office predictions and showing that millions of moviegoers are still interested in catching up with what Gomez Addams and his family are doing once again. In doing so,  The Addams Family also became the second highest grossing film in the domestic box office this weekend, following Joker which earned $55.9 million. While it...

You Will Soon Be Able To Watch Select A24 Films On Select Billboards Across the United States

David Bornfriend/Kobal/Rex/Shutterstock Yes, you read the title right and no , this isn't an article from The Onion. In June 27, A24, the film distribution company behind many Academy Award winning and celebrated films like Moonlight , The Room , Lady Bird and The Florida Project , teased on social media a mysterious upcoming project called A24 Public Access. #a24PublicAccess is coming pic.twitter.com/AWRWcninhr — A24 (@A24) June 27, 2019 In the tweet, empty white canvases can be seen with A24 film titles, dates, times, and coordinates listed below them.  Not long after A24 posted about the secret project, followers started looking up the coordinates and many noted that they pointed to locations were there were billboards - and more specifically, they were all-white billboards with just a small A24 logo, dates, and...you guessed it, times. And just like that, after some teasing A24 stayed quiet about the project for a while, until today. On early Wednes...
