It's Not All Bad News for "Futurama" Fans, Thanks To Show's So-Developer David X. Cohen

JamCity
If you are a big fan of Futurama like myself and were saddened by the news that Netflix was removing episodes from the cult-classic futuristic cartoon, then the show's co-developer David X. Cohen has come to the rescue!

Recently it's been seen on Netlflix that various seasons of Futurama have been removed (only seasons 6 and 7 remain, which are divided into 2 parts and listed on Netflix as seasons 7 to 10), and naturally Futurama fans took to social media to express their discontent...most utilizing the show's own memes to do so.

Before we go any further, I need to get this out of my system:

...There.
(I didn't mean for all the Futurama memes to be just of Professor Farnsworth, it just happened.)

But it's not all "bad news, everyone!" (Get it?!? Okay, I'll get back to the topic...)

During a recent Reddit AMA, the show's creator Matt Groening and head writer David X. Cohen, along with principal voice actors Billy West and John DiMaggio, talked about Futurama, during which Cohen revived hopes of new things for the show!

Although Cohen made it clear that "no new TV episodes or movies [are] in the pipeline at the moment", he went on to say that there is a "different avenue of exciting Futurama news later this summer, no kidding." That's all we needed to hear!

Even though David X. Cohen told fans to "keep your expectations modest", as a big Futurama fan any Futurama news are great news! While the co-developer wasn't allowed to elaborate more on what news exactly await the futuristic cartoon's franchise, Cohen does believe fans "will be pleased, possibly." Though not much information is known on what exactly are the show's summer news (as there is no information), it hasn't stopped Futurama fans like myself from speculating on what exactly Cohen was talking about. Some fans have speculated that another new Futurama app game awaits, while others believe it may come in the form of comics and other specialty collectible items - in whatever form, we are READY and here for it!

So even though the new Futurama news don't involve new TV episodes or movies, that doesn't make me any less excited for the news nor does it take away the possibility of future Futurama TV episodes or movies - Billy West, who voices various characters on the show including Philip J. Fry and Zapp Brannigan, certainly seemed open to the possibility and voiced so in the same Reddit AMA that Cohen revived our Futurama-loving spirits!

So until we learn what exactly awaits the beloved cartoon franchise, let's hope for cool stuff and remember:
(Unless you don't like Zoidberg, then you have the Futurama summer news to look forward to!)

Sincerely, Dora Goto who may have the Futurama theme song as her ringtone

Four Days After "The Addams Family" Hit Theaters, A Sequel Has Already Been Confirmed

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures Hear that? It's the sound of my mind being blown...or that of me snapping along to the Addams Family theme song. Following the commercial success of this year's animated re-imagining of one of our favorite unconventional families,  The Addams Family , which was released on theaters October 11, Deadline  exclusively confirmed on Tuesday that an animated kooky and spooky sequel is already in the works. In just its opening weekend, The Addams Family has earned $30.3 million from its theatrical releases in the United States and Canada (a little bit more than three-quarters of its $40 million budget), surpassing box office predictions and showing that millions of moviegoers are still interested in catching up with what Gomez Addams and his family are doing once again. In doing so,  The Addams Family also became the second highest grossing film in the domestic box office this weekend, following Joker which earned $55.9 million. While it...

You Will Soon Be Able To Watch Select A24 Films On Select Billboards Across the United States

David Bornfriend/Kobal/Rex/Shutterstock Yes, you read the title right and no , this isn't an article from The Onion. In June 27, A24, the film distribution company behind many Academy Award winning and celebrated films like Moonlight , The Room , Lady Bird and The Florida Project , teased on social media a mysterious upcoming project called A24 Public Access. #a24PublicAccess is coming pic.twitter.com/AWRWcninhr — A24 (@A24) June 27, 2019 In the tweet, empty white canvases can be seen with A24 film titles, dates, times, and coordinates listed below them.  Not long after A24 posted about the secret project, followers started looking up the coordinates and many noted that they pointed to locations were there were billboards - and more specifically, they were all-white billboards with just a small A24 logo, dates, and...you guessed it, times. And just like that, after some teasing A24 stayed quiet about the project for a while, until today. On early Wednes...
