Demi Lovato Makes Social Media Return with Message About Voting

LA Times

Demi Lovato is back again, just as powerful and inspirational as ever!

After a 90 day rehabilitation stay following an overdose in July, Lovato has made her social media return with a post on Instagram, in which she urges her followers to vote in the U.S. elections.

The Instagram photo shows Lovato filling her voting ballot, which is accompanied by a caption which she opens by first mentioning to be "grateful to be home" and "in time to vote" (we are too, Demi!!) She continues the caption by noting that "One vote can make a difference, so make sure your voice is heard" and concluding it with an all-capital letters hashtag of the word "VOTE."

While keeping her Instagram post caption and message simple, it's a powerful and important message that needs to be reminded and Lovato chose to address and make her social media return with. Although Lovato had previously been spotted dining at a Beverly Hills restaurant during the weekend, this Instagram post marks Lovato's first social media post and direct means of communication with her fans since getting out of rehab.

Indeed every vote counts and matters, so we're glad to see you not only seize your power to vote and raise your voice about it but also see you better, Demi! :)

*Today is the last day to vote...Have you voted yet? If not, find out where you can go to vote here.

Can't vote? Urge your family and friends who can to do so - remind them the importance of voting and the issues at stake and accompany them to the voting polls if they'd like. Offer support and resources if they need them to make a more informed decision as a voter.

Sincerely, a hopeful Dora Goto

Four Days After "The Addams Family" Hit Theaters, A Sequel Has Already Been Confirmed

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures Hear that? It's the sound of my mind being blown...or that of me snapping along to the Addams Family theme song. Following the commercial success of this year's animated re-imagining of one of our favorite unconventional families,  The Addams Family , which was released on theaters October 11, Deadline  exclusively confirmed on Tuesday that an animated kooky and spooky sequel is already in the works. In just its opening weekend, The Addams Family has earned $30.3 million from its theatrical releases in the United States and Canada (a little bit more than three-quarters of its $40 million budget), surpassing box office predictions and showing that millions of moviegoers are still interested in catching up with what Gomez Addams and his family are doing once again. In doing so,  The Addams Family also became the second highest grossing film in the domestic box office this weekend, following Joker which earned $55.9 million. While it...

Live-Action "Aladdin" Sequel MAY Be in The Works, Producer Dan Lin Confirms

Disney It looks like we might be returning to Aladdin's world - or rather, a whole new world. Following the global commercial success of this year's live-action  Aladdin , including flying past the $1 billion dollar mark in the global box office (no magic carpet needed), it appears that a sequel of the live-action adaptation is a possibility and, according to producer Dan Lin, is already in early talks. "We'd love to," Lin told SYFY WIRE , "People clearly loved the movie and watched it multiple times and we get lots of fan letters and people asking us to make Return [of] Jafar ." While Lin shared that they are still in the early stages of discussion, "we're certainly talking about another movie." One of the important conditions in making the potential Aladdin sequel would be for Ritchie to return and direct it. That's "the hope", Lin continued . "[Ritchie] made [ Aladdin ] for his kids. They loved Aladdin , b...

"Friends" May Be There For You At a Movie Theater Near You

Photograph by David Bjerke - NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images Calling Friends  fans everywhere (so I picked up the phone!) Friends , the American sitcom that you probably know and know the words to its theme song even if you have never watched it, first premiered on September 22, 1994 and ran until 2004, and will soon mark its 25th anniversary. In honor of the 25th anniversary of the New York City-set sitcom, which has already seen and inspired the release of limited time Pottery Barn, LEGO, and Ralph Lauren collections (among countless fan fictions, of course), you may soon be able to catch your TV friends from Friends soon on theaters - now THAT'S a reason for Ross, Phoebe and Rachel to be screaming and jumping up and down about (besides trying to distract Ross from the fact that Monica and Chandler are in a relationship!) Select Friends episodes will be screened at movie theaters on three separate select dates starting September 23, including featuring exclusive interv...
