First Ever Mickey Mouse-Themed Attraction is Coming to Disneyland in 2022

Looks like we'll be able to go on an adventure with the Mouse from the House of Mouse himself soon!

On Friday, the Disney Parks Blog announced that a first ever Mickey Mouse-themed ride through attraction, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, will be coming to Disneyland Park at Mickey's Toontown in 2022.

Although the Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway attraction had been announced since 2017 to be opening at Disney World's Hollywood Studios (originally had been expected to open this year, but its date has been officially pushed back to spring 2020), Disneyland will now be getting its own version of the awaited ride-through attraction, which the Disney Parks Blog says will have "special details that promise to make this amazing attraction unique for Disneyland park guests."

Runaway Railroad will become the first major Mickey Mouse-themed ride-through attraction at both Disneyland and Disney World and, as described by Disney Parks Blog, will let you join Mickey Mouse and his friends and "put you inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon short where anything can happen" aboard a train - in which Goofy will be the train engineer, any less! - as "one magical moment after the next leads you to a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns."

The ride-through attraction will take you through an original Mickey Mouse story and will use "state-of-the-art technologies and dazzling visual effects to transform the cartoon world into an incredible and immersive multi-dimensional experience."

While Disney World's Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railroad will replace the Great Movie Ride, which originally opened in 1989 and closed last August so construction for Runaway Railway could start, it is unknown if Disneyland's own Mickey Mouse-themed attraction will replace another existing attraction. Construction for Disneyland's Runaway Railroad could start from scratch as did Disney World's upcoming Tron roller coaster, which will join Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland in 2021 and nestle near Space Mountain and the Tomorrowland Speedway.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway isn't the only upcoming attraction coming to both U.S. based Disney parks, as a Star Wars-themed land, Galaxy's Edge, will be opening this year - May 31 in Disneyland, and August 29 in Disney World. It will feature two attractions: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, in which you'll get to ride and pilot the iconic starship, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, a ride in which park goers find themselves in between a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. I may have been looking at my lightsaber as I wrote that last sentence...and this one.

So how do you feel about getting our first ever Mickey Mouse-themed attraction at not only Disney World, but also Disneyland? Do you also suddenly want to put on Mickey Mouse ears and crave for Mickey Mouse-shaped ice cream and cupcakes? Do let me know!

Sincerely, Dora Goto
who may or may definitely already have her Mickey Mouse ears on

It's Not All Bad News for "Futurama" Fans, Thanks To Show's So-Developer David X. Cohen

JamCity If you are a big fan of Futurama like myself and were saddened by the news that Netflix was removing episodes from the cult-classic futuristic cartoon, then the show's co-developer David X. Cohen has come to the rescue! Recently it's been seen on Netlflix that various seasons of Futurama have been removed (only seasons 6 and 7 remain, which are divided into 2 parts and listed on Netflix as seasons 7 to 10), and naturally Futurama fans took to social media to express their discontent...most utilizing the show's own memes to do so. Before we go any further, I need to get this out of my system: ...There.  (I didn't mean for all the Futurama memes to be just of Professor Farnsworth, it just happened.)  But it's not all "bad news, everyone!" (Get it?!? Okay, I'll get back to the topic...) During a recent  Reddit AMA , the show's creator Matt Groening and head writer David X. Cohen, along with principal voice actor...

Having Breakfast at Tiffany's is NOW OFFICIALLY a Reality

Paramount Pictures If you're a big Aubrey Hepburn fan or simply a fan of good films from the 1960's like Breakfast at Tiffany's , then you'll probably be giddy as I to find out that an actual café store has opened at the fourth floor of the iconic Tiffany & Co. store located in Fifth Avenue in New York City. The café store is called Blue Box Café (rambling a little bit here so you have time to write it down, okay that's enough), officially opened its doors today, and according to a  review by Vogue  of the café's opening, it offers a $29 breakfast menu option that includes coffee and croissant with the "choice of an avocado toast, truffled eggs, or a smoked salmon bagel with schmear." But Blue Box Café will not only offer breakfast options (* very delicious breakfast options ), as  the  Vogue  review  noted that the cafe also offers lunch options at $39 (which include a starter and main course), including the "Charles Lewis Tiffany"...

Four Days After "The Addams Family" Hit Theaters, A Sequel Has Already Been Confirmed

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures Hear that? It's the sound of my mind being blown...or that of me snapping along to the Addams Family theme song. Following the commercial success of this year's animated re-imagining of one of our favorite unconventional families,  The Addams Family , which was released on theaters October 11, Deadline  exclusively confirmed on Tuesday that an animated kooky and spooky sequel is already in the works. In just its opening weekend, The Addams Family has earned $30.3 million from its theatrical releases in the United States and Canada (a little bit more than three-quarters of its $40 million budget), surpassing box office predictions and showing that millions of moviegoers are still interested in catching up with what Gomez Addams and his family are doing once again. In doing so,  The Addams Family also became the second highest grossing film in the domestic box office this weekend, following Joker which earned $55.9 million. While it...
